Great service, home cooked meal that was fresh, not canned or reheated. Priced right, lots of room for family seating.

My family and I wanted a non-chain type restaurant to try. We pulled in and immediately felt like it was a family atmosphere! The food was AMAZING and our waitress was the sweetest!

My husband & myself along with his cousin went to one of our favorite restaraunts for country cooking,food was very good but they have cut down on there meat sandwiches like catfish & tenderloin but you get a large amount of country fries or french fries ,small amount of cream potatoe's. Yes i will go back there like where ever you go some find it really good & some don't hey that's people right...

Your typical little meat n 3 spot. Has a good selection of food items to satisfy even picky little eaters. Also has a salad bar available alone or with your meal. Prices are good and what you would expect as well. Desserts are all store bought though.

This is a thoughtful place, bringing together in a village atmosphere and feeding them with wholesome simple fare. Breakfast was wonderfully prepared with the country ham perfectly done and had obviously been soaked as country ham should before frying making it so tender. So happy to be around a cook who can turn out over easy eggs perfectly and biscuits so tender and fluffy with so much surface area for butter to melt. Friendly service from all if the staff, has me looking forward to a return visit.

If you want to visit "real Portland," this is the place. With a floor plan and exterior modeled on Portland's former train Depot, this is a meat-and-three restaurant with good choices and very, friendly staff. My mom is a vegetarian, and she really enjoyed the salad and soup bar.

I have been going to 109 for 4 1/2 years. Since the new ownership the prices have gona up, but the quality and quantity has gone down. In the last 2 weeks i visited th he restaurant5 times and I am sad to say 3 times I was disapointed with food. You have cut down on meats by far. The only good thing was service.

The new owners, 5 chefs owner and barbecue place owner, think there is ONLY breakfast and lunch during the day. Closing early, less food on the plates, and higher prices will doom this place. Recent visit to 5 chefs revealed meat+ 3 is $11. 109 restaurant customers cannot afford this. They will ultimately run off all customers. Miss the old owners!

The food is only good. The service needs to be much more polite.

This is the best small restaurant in the world. The price is amazing. Every type of food there is prepared with obvious effort. Nothing is thrown together they take great pride in customer satisfaction from food to feeling there is no other place like this one. Also the salad bar has 2 soups and ice cream and every salad topping you could imagine. Its the perfect place to enjoy a meal.

The old gray mule ain't what she used to be. I don't know what has happened here. Inattentive staff, asked twice for onion for my beans, never received. As soon as the bill was placed on our table we were ignored. Rude cashier, seemed more interested in putting on a fashion statement. A shame since it used to be good. Never again

This place is good as far as the food goes , the owners are snooty an if you don't fit in with the crew your not going to work their long, the servers seam to got along with all customers an co-workers. They could use a new look on the in side, but keep the back wall .

Friendly staff affordable all around good vibes

Ordered the Catfish and 3. Catfish was warm at best, mashed potatoes and gravy were good, white beans were barely warm and mac n cheese was cold like it had just been taken out of the refrigerator and failed to make it to the microwave. This was around 5:30pm on a Friday afternoon. Very disappointed in the meal considering it was the Friday special. Server was friendly but this was my last visit. My wife had the salad bar and it looked delicious. Wish I'd ordered the salad instead

Good country style food. Employees were polite. Bathrooms needed to be cleaned.

Needs just little improvements to make it a really good place to bring your family to eat. The food is good for the price. Salad bar is really good a well maintained. Makes the experience worthwhile.

It's an awesome place for the whole family to have an enjoyable dining experience...the salad bar,soup bar,great food on the menue and ice cream for the kiddies 😊

I have had both Breakfast and lunch on two different occasions, the food was very good, the staff was warm and friendly. I had traveled from Hendersonville to Portland on both occasions was was not disappointed! If your hungry and you are in Portland, give 109 a try!

Food was fantastic, piping hot and fresh. Service was great. The only issue is that they really need to remodel...especially the bathrooms. Highly recommend the catfish!

This is a country cooking sit down restaurant. Their's is a good family restaurant for good country cooking.

Very Good. Meat and 3 like old times, Plus a salad Bar!! Awesome! ..Cost only $5.95 Its whatever the days selection is...MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THE BATHROOM..Only 2 for the entire place.I waited in line 30 minutes to use it.Food was excellent though. Nice family atmosphere and extensive salad bar.

Great little place to get a meat and three, which was only $5.95. I added the salad, soup, and ice cream bar for $3.50 extra. It was almost too much food! The bbq chicken was cooked just right and the sides were tasty!

I love this place it is homey and food is great. Good food at a reasonable price.

Enjoyed the lunch special and the Cole slaw was wonderful. A little noisy if that is what you like. Very friendly staff.

Good meat and 3 no-frills restaurant. Great prices on large quantity food plates. Servers are friendly and efficient (and hard working). Food brought out very quickly after ordering. Under new ownership/management recently. Plan is to make facility improvements over time. On this visit my wife had liver and onions that was chared and missing the onions! I had the pot roast that was bland but okay. First time the food has been a little off. We will definitely visit again.

Can't go wrong with the meat and 3. The salad bar is always on point. Good sweet tea. LOVE the fruit tea.

Great place to eat for sure! Great family restaurant and great home cooked food prices are affordable for anyone that is on a budget for out to eat nights!! Have the salad bar as well if you just want a huge salad theres a variety of options for toppings of salad and also soup at the salad bar "changes daily" overall a great friendly family restaurant for all.

The 2 piece grilled pork chops were 1 little fatty but were quite good with a nice taste. Broccoli cheese casserole had to much rice but the taste was okay. It came with Texas toast & salad bar. The spaghetti sauce had a real good taste according to Ken ! The soft serve ice cream machine for dessert was fun. We will go back 😊
